Details make the difference

The 2026 Domino Good Design Award winners prove that small touches like toothpaste tubes and towel texture can elevate a room from basic to five-star hotel quality.

“the little details are what make or break a room”

Stretchy towels wrap better

Typical adds 2% spandex to cotton bath towels for a snug wrap every time. The brand comes from Herschel Supply Company co-founder Lyndon Cormack.

Studio McGee designed a toilet

Kohler's Claude smart toilet features a flared bottom and molding-like details that make it surprisingly elegant. It's as close to glamorous as a toilet can get.

Refillable toothpaste looks good

Suri's gel toothpaste comes in a slim upright container with plastic-free, compostable refills. It finally solves the problem of uninspired, unsustainable tubes.

Embroidered linen adds personality

Bed Threads pillowcases feature loop-de-loop embroidery and contrasting colors. They stand out in a sea of identical-looking linen bedding.

A soap dish worth $105

Building Block Etc.'s stainless steel dish has two drainage options for sink or shower and is dishwasher-safe. Form meets function in one striking piece.
