Olympic boxer faces police inquiry

Luke Campbell, a former Olympic boxing champion and mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire, is under police investigation by Humberside police for allegedly showing explicit images of himself to a female colleague.

The alleged incident in May

Campbell allegedly showed a senior female colleague four fully naked and sexualised images of himself in May. The woman said she felt shocked, embarrassed and humiliated by the incident.

Woman claims she was forced out

The female colleague said she was forced out of her job soon after the incident.

Witness describes the workplace incident

A senior female colleague said Campbell called her over to a computer screen and showed her several naked and sexualised images.

“I was deliberately exposed to naked and sexualised images involving the mayor in the workplace, without my consent, and was laughed at when I was visibly embarrassed.”

Campbell denies allegations through party

Campbell has not responded to requests to comment. Reform UK said he firmly denies the allegations, claiming they come from a disgruntled employee attempting to leverage a settlement in a meritless workplace dispute.

Magazine cover claim contradicted

Nadine Dorries claimed the sexualised image was a two thousand thirteen magazine cover showing Campbell naked from the waist up after winning gold at the two thousand twelve London Olympics.

Investigation continues at local authority

Hull and East Yorkshire combined authority confirmed a police investigation is under way and said it has standards and complaints procedures to deal with complaints about members and officers in a fair and independent manner.
