There are more than seventy species of tulip, which are members of the lily family. The name tulip is derived from the Turkish word for turban.
Poppies and daffodils also bloom
Poppies, daffodils and fruit trees are also in full bloom at the festival. Poppies can grow to more than one metre tall with flowers up to fifteen centimetres across.
