A thirteen-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday evening after New South Wales police established a strike force to investigate incidents on walking trails in the Narrabeen area during early October.

Eleven victims across multiple incidents

Police allege the boy sexually touched and made inappropriate comments to eleven separate girls and women aged between thirteen and fifty-four. The incidents occurred on walking trails in Narrabeen between one October and early October.

“In each incident, a male allegedly approached women on walking trails, sexually touched them and then rode away on an ebike.”

Charges laid against the teenager

The thirteen-year-old was charged with three counts of behaving in an offensive manner in or near a public place, and eight counts of sexually touching another person without consent.

The boy was granted conditional bail to appear at children's court on four November. Superintendent John Duncan noted the eight kilometre bushland park has limited CCTV coverage.

“It's a bushland park that runs 8km, a large amount of which … runs through bushland, obviously there's not a great deal of CCTV and cameras.”
