Two men arrested at intelligence base

Two Latvian men aged thirty-two and twenty-six were arrested at two am on Thursday after being found inside RAF Molesworth in Cambridgeshire, used by US military and NATO for intelligence operations.
Breach discovered after abandoned vehicle
Military police found an abandoned vehicle near the facility at around ten pm on Wednesday. They discovered a small hole in the perimeter fence before finding and arresting the two men inside the base.
Arrested under National Security Act
The suspects were initially arrested on suspicion of trespass on a prohibited site and causing criminal damage.
Released on bail as investigation continues

Both men have been released on bail with strict conditions. Commander Helen Flanagan said police are investigating their motivation and whether it may be connected to any criminal activity.
“A key line of inquiry remains to identify any potential motivation behind why the men were at that location, and this includes whether it may be connected to any criminal activity.”
