Pinterest diary builds hype

The duo populate a joint Pinterest account with visual diaries, mood boards and behind-the-scenes photos to introduce the concept and vibe of DREAMSCAPE before album release.

An unusual K-pop choice

Using Pinterest for K-pop promotion is uncommon. Most K-pop teasers stay on YouTube or Weverse, the K-pop-centric social network.

Sharing the creative world

Sharing the creative world

Jeonghan and Joshua said they created the JxJ Diary to share the album concept directly with fans. They curated photographs and behind-the-scenes moments exploring the concept of dreams.

“JxJ Diary is a space we created to share the concept and vibe of the album more directly with fans before its release.”

Fans create their own DREAMSCAPE

The duo invited fans to take inspiration from the album imagery and express it their own ways by collecting photos and curating images on Pinterest reflecting personal tastes.

“We hope fans will take inspiration from the album's imagery and vibe, and express it in their own ways.”

K-pop fan economy booms

Seventeen's fanbase collects photo cards, travels to concerts and invests heavily in albums and merchandise. Their two thousand twenty-three album FML sold over six point four million copies on first day.

Pinterest sees K-pop surge

Pinterest's APAC head Ayumi Nakajima said the platform saw K-pop searches for K-pop style rise nineteen percent globally year over year, while K-beauty searches rose one hundred fourteen percent.

Seven tracks, new genres

DREAMSCAPE contains seven tracks spanning house, synthpop and dance rock. Joshua contributes punk rock solo track Not Personal while Jeonghan offers dreamy bop Coloring.

Different chemistry as a duo

Jeonghan and Joshua said the two of them have different chemistry together than Seventeen's thirteen members. They wanted to bring out their natural sides and individual charms as much as possible.

“Seventeen has a certain energy when all 13 members are together, but we think the two of us have a different kind of chemistry when we are together.”

Album drops October nineteen

DREAMSCAPE launches October nineteen at six pm Korea time. The duo took trips together and had conversations to shape a direction that felt uniquely theirs.
