Woman arrested for blocking delivery robot

Carolyn Marvin was arrested in Philadelphia for repeatedly obstructing an Uber delivery robot.

“I know they’re taking the jobs of human delivery workers and so, I have been protesting them whenever I saw them by standing in front of them and preventing them from going forward”

Marvin claims robots take human jobs

Marvin said Uber delivery robots replace human workers, so she protests by blocking them on sidewalks.

“I think it’s my First Amendment right to publicly demonstrate on a sidewalk to protest against delivery robots”

Marvin continues protest despite arrest

Marvin hopes her arrest sparks discussion about AI and delivery robots’ impact on employment.
