The GR series turns 30
Ricoh's GR IV compact camera is so popular it's hard to find in stock. The series celebrates 30 years with a special anniversary edition.
Subtle design changes only
The anniversary edition features gray buttons inspired by the 1996 GR1. The changes honor how little the compact design has evolved over 30 years.
Ring cap gets diamond texture
A removable protective ring around the lens barrel features a diamond-cut texture. The camera displays a GR 30th anniversary logo when powering off.
Accessories sold separately too
Current GR owners can buy anniversary accessories without purchasing the new camera. This lets photographers refresh their existing cameras with the anniversary look.
Leather strap and hot shoe cover
A real leather finger strap has the anniversary engraved on the side. A steel gray hot shoe cover features the 30th anniversary logo engraved on top.
14 retro camera pins available
Limited edition pins honor different cameras across 30 years. The complete set includes GR and anniversary logo pins only with the special edition camera.
Only 6,000 cameras worldwide
The special edition launches October 21 with all accessories included. Ricoh hasn't revealed pricing yet, but expect it above the standard GR IV cost.
