TikTok star joins SNL

Grace Reiter, a Mashable 101 creator with 3.9 million TikTok followers, is joining Saturday Night Live as a featured player for Season 52.

Her comedy style explained

Reiter builds her following by taking weird thoughts and running with them, using physical stunts, body humor, and an icy stare to create relatable content.

“'Grace videos' have practically become their own genre on TikTok”

Connection through strange thoughts

Reiter's comedy comes from wanting to know if others share her strange habits and thoughts, creating reassurance through shared weirdness.

“"[My comedy] comes from a place of connection or reassurance."”

From YouTube to viral success

Inspired by YouTube parody creators, Reiter made The Hunger Games (but Better) with friends last year, which accumulated 13 million views on YouTube.

Beyond social media

Reiter has appeared in HBO's The Chair Company, performed in off-Broadway's Ginger Twinsies, and is writing and directing the upcoming series Minimum Wage.

Overcoming stage fright

Reiter called her off-Broadway role in Ginger Twinsies one of her proudest accomplishments, having previously believed she had stage fright.

“"I used to believe I had stage fright."”
