Claims took over a year to settle
Andhra Pradesh Department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare has taken steps to speed up the settlement of medical reimbursement claims, which previously took more than a year.
Now settled in one month, says CEO
NTR Vaidya Seva Trust CEO A.A.L. Padmavathi said measures such as the appointment of doctors were taken last year, which reduced the time of settling the claims to one month now.
Online system in development
A dedicated online system is being developed to make submission, review, and settlement of medical reimbursement claims for employees and pensioners easier, with detailed discussions underway with relevant government departments.
Trust processes thousands of bills monthly
The NTR Vaidya Seva Trust receives more than four thousand medical reimbursement bills every month. Currently, one thousand five hundred bills are being reviewed by the Trust.
Forty-one thousand pending bills processed
About forty-one thousand two hundred seventy-six pending bills, including those received online and offline, had been processed so far. The total value of the bills is about one hundred fifty-two point nine five crore rupees.
Funding released for hospital services
While forty crore rupees has been released for hospitals under the Employees Health Scheme in October, another fifty crore rupees will be released soon to ensure uninterrupted medical services.
