Deepfakes plague OnlyFans creator
Vanniall, an OnlyFans creator in New York City, constantly finds hyperrealistic AI-generated deepfakes of herself circulating online and struggles to get them removed.
Instagram restricts her account
Vanniall's Instagram account, which has over one hundred thousand followers, is currently restricted and cannot be viewed without logging in. She faces constant reports and appeals.
Meta's Muse can sext adults

Meta allows its AI agent Muse to engage in explicit sexting with adult users on an adults-only app. The agent generates explicit text but not images or videos.
Creators see a double standard
Vanniall says it is unfair that Meta profits from Muse's sexual conversations while restricting real adults from engaging in sensuality or sexuality on its platforms.
“It's not fair that they get to pull money out of people with their sexually active AI agent, but they won't let real people, real adults, engage in any sort of sensuality or sexuality.”
Meta defends the distinction
Meta spokesperson Tracy Clayton says a private conversation between an adult and an individualized AI agent on an adults-only platform is very different from marketing services on social media.
“A private, one-to-one conversation between an adult and an individualized AI agent on a platform restricted to people 18 and over is very different from the marketing and promotion of services on a social media platform.”
Creators trace roots to 2018 law

Jiz Lee, an OnlyFans creator and queer porn worker, traces censorship issues to FOSTA-SESTA, a law signed by President Trump in 2018 that weakened platform protections for adult content.
“If sex work was decriminalized, then a lot of these issues wouldn't be happening, a lot of the censorship wouldn't be happening.”
Concerns about AI training data
Lee wants to know how Muse was trained and who was compensated for their data. Adult content companies are starting to clarify AI usage stances in contracts to protect performers.
Performers fear AI displacement
Tony Genius, an OnlyFans creator and adult film performer, worries that fully AI-generated porn could displace human performers. He has cycled through seven Instagram accounts in five years.
