Queen of Lombard Street by Lisa Kleypas

Set in 19th-century Britain, this novel follows Reina Martin, a woman who refuses to accept the status quo and plans to launch the first all-women’s bank alongside her mentor William Farrow.
“This was my introduction to Lisa Kleypas’s writing, and it was quickly made clear to me why she commands such an enthusiastic, dedicated following. I loved how the overall atmosphere managed to be simultaneously sweeping and intimate, trading standard historical high-society tropes for something far more industrious, intellectual and deeply human. This was an absolute delight from start to finish, and I highly recommend it!”
Undone by Peyton Corinne

Book 4 in Peyton Corinne’s Undone series follows college hockey star Toren Kane after a scandal cost him his first-round NHL draft pick, forcing him to go to Waterfell University for redemption.
“This series has given me characters and a world that I know I won’t forget anytime soon. It is always a little bittersweet when a series you have loved so much comes to an end, but I have a feeling this won. I’ll absolutely be coming back to spend time with these characters again! Peyton Corinne, you have created something special with this series, and I am so glad I got to be a part of this world. Five stars, without a doubt!”
Royal Witch by Philippa Gregory

Set in 1420, this novel follows Eleanor Cobham after she arrives at the court of King Henry V of England in hopes of marrying well.
“This book is filled with twists and turns that leave you constantly questioning what is happening. More than once, I wanted to put it down simply to process everything, but I couldn’t because I was even more desperate to discover what would happen next. Until the very last page, I was eager to see what Eleanor had planned and what consequences each of her choices would bring.”
When the Night Comes Knocking by Katherine Daniel

Set in the Appalachian Mountains, this novel follows Jane and Thomas, siblings who haven’t spoken since an accident almost killed them both.
“This book genuinely messed with my head in the best possible way! I loved how the supernatural horror was intertwined with the darker, more uncomfortable aspects of human nature. It made me think about guilt, shame, and the things people carry with them long after the events themselves are over. There’s something especially disturbing about a monster that doesn’t simply hunt you physically but seems to know the very things you’d rather the world never discover.”
Whale Harbor by Mary Beth Keane

A historical fiction novel set in 1960s Ireland, this book follows teenage Mac emigrating to Montana after his family tragedy, promising his younger brother Rian could join him.
“In Whale Harbor, Keane captures the essence of family and the bonds of brotherhood and community. The grief and longing are palpable as are the joyous moments of their lives. The challenges and opportunities of immigration and leaving home are beautifully shown. Forgiveness and unconditional love are my favorite part of the story. Tender, immersive and beautifully written, this is a magnificent family saga with unforgettable characters. I highly recommend this moving novel!”
