“I want to use this space to voice another much bigger struggle out there, especially given the current situation in Indonesia which is not easy for many people”

Album Release and Impact

The album Berusaha di Bawah Hujan released in May 2026 reached over 409 million Spotify plays and includes tracks like Sedia Aku Sebelum Hujan with Hindia and Mendung with Yura Yunita.

Rain as Social Metaphor

Idgitaf used rain to symbolize Indonesia's social struggles, noting that some people are angry at floods while others miss rain due to forest fires, both needing restoration and accountability.

“Out there, some people are very angry at the rain because of landslides and floods. And there are also those who miss the rain because of forest fires. Even though they are different in their situation in loving or hating the rain, there is a commonality in both. They need restoration and accountability”
