Robinson charged with harassment

Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is charged with two counts of harassment causing fear of violence to Daily Mail journalists Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber in 2024. He denies the charges.
What Robinson posted online
Robinson posted a video telling the journalists he would find them after they wrote about his alleged role influencing England's 2024 riots. He said he had obtained details of where they and their families lived.
Prosecution: we don't live in a vigilante world
Prosecutor Ben Holt told the jury Robinson is guilty because we do not live in a vigilante world where men's rules apply.
“Let's get real, shall we, and not live in a vigilante world where 'men's rules' apply?”
Robinson's retaliation, Holt says

Holt described Robinson's words to the journalists as straightforward retaliation. Robinson told them: Good for the goose, good for the gander. You are coming for me, I am coming for you.
“Good for the goose, good for the gander. You are coming for me, I am coming for you.”
Defence: Robinson showed restraint
Defence counsel Alisdair Williamson KC said Robinson's actions were justified because the journalists endangered his family by publishing his ex-wife's photo and identifying his location. He argued Robinson showed restraint.
“When you judge whether what he did was reasonable, you might think that he showed some restraint.”
Trial continues at Southwark
The trial at Southwark Crown Court continues. The court heard Robinson had received four threat-to-life warning notices from police in 2018, 2019 and 2024, shortly after the Daily Mail article was published.
