Hilton's top marketer exits

Mark Weinstein has stepped down as chief marketing officer and head of luxury brands at Hilton, vacating two senior roles in a single move.
He announced it himself
Weinstein shared the news in a LinkedIn post, using the hotel line everyone expected him to use.
“Tomorrow, I check out of Hilton.”
A thank you on the way out
His farewell note thanked the company for what the job taught him, and kept the focus on the people rather than the campaigns.
“Team Hilton, thank you for teaching me more about hospitality, creativity, branding, marketing, loyalty, and humanity than I knew there was to learn.”
Sixteen years inside
He joined Hilton in 2010 as a senior marketing director and stayed more than 16 years, an unusually long run for a brand-side marketing career.
Loyalty was his ladder
Weinstein climbed to lead loyalty and customer engagement globally before taking the CMO job in June 2020, arriving just as travel demand collapsed.
Luxury came last
In 2025 he added head of luxury brands to the CMO title, a final expansion that made his departure a bigger hole to fill.
The bottom line
Weinstein exits as Hilton's CMO and head of luxury brands after more than 16 years, leaving both roles open at once.
