In brief
Two new Atomos monitors landed at IBC 2026, and the one most shooters will care about costs $499. The Shinobi 7 II is the practical pick: a 2,800-nit 7-inch screen that also lets you drive camera settings over USB-C for $499. Originally reported by Digital Camera World.
Two monitors, two worlds

Atomos showed up at IBC 2026 with the Shinobi 7 II for shooters and the Shogun AV-19M for broadcast galleries and video villages. Same brand, very different jobs.
“they sit at rather different ends of the production spectrum”
Bright enough for daylight

The Shinobi 7 II packs a 7-inch HDR touchscreen into a lightweight on-camera body and pushes 2,800 nits, so focus and exposure stay readable outdoors.
Run the camera from the screen

Over USB-C it can change aperture, shutter speed or angle, ISO and white balance. Some cameras add touch-to-focus and shutter release, handy when the camera is rigged somewhere awkward.
All the usual scopes

EL Zone, false color, waveform, vectorscope, focus peaking, zebras and anamorphic de-squeeze are all here, plus 3D LUTs and on-device calibration. HDMI caps at 4K 30p.
Price and power

It runs off USB-C PD or Sony NP-F batteries and ships in September for $499 / £510 / €499.
The big one for studios

The Shogun AV-19M is a 19-inch rackmount touchscreen with 4K HDR DCI-P3, NDI HX3, 12G-SDI and HDMI. It shows one NDI feed full-screen or four at once, and arrives in October at $1,899.
The essence
The Shinobi 7 II is the practical pick: a 2,800-nit 7-inch screen that also lets you drive camera settings over USB-C for $499.
