Biomemory unveils DNA Shield

Commercial DNA data storage company Biomemory has launched DNA Shield, a synthetic DNA repository service protecting critical digital assets from cyberattacks and artificial intelligence threats.
What is cold data
Cold data comprises sixty percent of all data in the world and refers to information that cannot be altered, such as passwords, biometrics, financial records and other material serving as proof.
How DNA Shield works
DNA Shield stores data in DNA using an engineered encoding scheme that is biosecure. It is a physical molecule storing information long-term without power, a million times denser than magnetic storage.
What data can be stored

DNA Shield can store biometric data, cryptographic keys, accounts, intellectual property, blueprints and proprietary knowledge. Data stored offline and airgapped could have a one hundred fifty year lifespan.
Biomemory's commercial milestone
Laurent Guengant, CEO of Biomemory, said DNA Shield marks the moment the company moves from proving science to delivering a commercial product for organizations needing secure critical asset storage.
“DNA Shield is the moment Biomemory moves from proving a science to delivering a commercial product.”
Pilot program timeline
DNA Shield pilot slots opened October fifteen twenty twenty-six and run through mid twenty twenty-seven. Biomemory is the first company to launch a molecular IT product commercially.
Pricing and access
Organizations interested in DNA Shield will pay a subscription starting at ten thousand euros per month. Early access applications are open directly via Biomemory, with full service expected in twenty twenty-seven.
The bottom line
Biomemory launched DNA Shield, a synthetic DNA storage service for critical data, with pilot access starting October fifteen twenty twenty-six and full service expected in twenty twenty-seven.
